HOW? STOP PAYING!
We no longer have debtors prison.I have friends in California
who've walked away from their houses owing $500,000.Nothing happened.
they just sell your debt to a collection company for pennies on the
dollar and they write it off in taxes. The debt collector would love
to get you to pay even thirty percent because they will still make a
killing,IGNORE THEM!!! They can't make you pay.In California if you
pay nothing for 2 years they can no longer collect. They will threaten
lawsuits and send you letters looking like they are from legal companies
threaten to call the cops or repo other things you own (illegal for them
to do and to threaten)its all lies!!! So if debt is to much for you let
them take the car you owe more on and don't need....walk away from that
mortgage you can barely or can't afford....stop paying on credit cards
and bills and loans that aren't essential.
I know one person who stopped paying on a $10,000 furniture bill ...They
never came to get the furniture! He still has it! If you feel guilty doing
this DON'T remember Enron? savings and loan scandals? big companies always
are stealing from you. This isn't stealing! you had bad luck ,overextended,
maybe lost your job, things happen you didn't plan this so its not stealing.
These companies gambled on you having the ability to pay and they lost the
gamble, but remember they don't really lose money they write it off in taxes.
(so technically you've been paying through your taxes for their gambling
losses all along)Look at banks, they borrow our tax money from the Gov.
then loan it back to us at a higher interest rate !!! That's stealing!!!
What is illegal is planning this and deliberately running up credit cards
and debt knowing your gonna stop paying. But Ive known some people and heard
of many others who've done this and got away with it.Why? they have no reason
to suspect you are doing this (the companies don't talk to each other)so they
can't suspect a crime to report to police.Ive heard of one guy getting
questioned for this,but they couldn't prove intent(extremely hard)so never
indicted him.I'm not recommending this,I'm just trying to Educate you.
Whats the bad side of doing this?
Not much.Bad credit.but you just learn to live off cash, pay as you go.
bad credit is a good thing. It forces you to live within your means. You
only buy what you can afford.Cash works so much better than credit and its
much cheaper! worried you can't buy another car or house? Cash is credit!!!
put 40% cash down on something and they don't care what your credit score is!
plus no more stress over bills or keeping good credit. You'll still have a bank account and your bankcard has a credit card affiliation that allows you to
use it as a credit card for reserving airline tickets,Hotels, etc.no problem.
now with all your debt (non essential)behind you you can get on with rebuilding
your finances.you now only pay utilities,rent,maybe a car payment,insurance...
just the basics this should be a big financial relief.
Bankruptcy.
Not necessary to spend $2000 and pay some of the unnecessary bills you don't
want to pay just to try to get your credit back.Remember cash is better than
credit.
